Our trip to Ireland

6B Sprachreise nach Irland, 10.März bis 17.März 2017
Our language holiday in Ireland was a great experience for all of us which is why we want to share our best memories with you.
Let´s start with the day it all began. Our flight departed at 11:25 a.m. on the 10th of March and we landed in Dublin nearly three hours later. The following programme included a little city tour of Dublin and the first meeting with our host families in Bray. After enjoying a delicious dinner with them, some of us decided to meet at the beach to hang out. But only until 10 p.m.!
At the weekend we went to Dublin to do some sightseeing and -of course- shopping. To see Malahide Castle and the James Joyce Tower in Dun Laoghaire was our activity-programme for Sunday. It was a beautiful weekend and all of us were excited about the first day of school. Luckily our teachers were very patient with us and we did some fun activities in groups to strengthen our self-confidence and the ability to work together.
Every afternoon we went to Dublin. The National Museum, Trinity College, the Little Museum of Dublin and the Guinness Storehouse were just some of the places we had the pleasure to visit.
On Thursday, our last day, we got some spare time to spend time in Dublin by ourselves.
On Saint Patrick’s-Day, Friday, March 17th, our flight departed at 7 a.m. so we had to get up at 3 a.m., because we met our teachers at 4 o’clock. Everyone was really tired and exhausted, but we still had some great time at the Airport playing Mario Cart.
Finally, we want to thank our teachers who accompanied us and who organized this journey, which was full of fun, very exciting and a mind-blowing experience.
